Welcome, all music lovers.

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, San Miguel de Allende has been recognized as a community of exceptional artistic and cultural value. The mission of the San Miguel de Allende Music Archive Project is to develop an archive of multi-track, high-definition recordings of primarily live performances of the many fine musicians, vocalists, and ensembles performing in San Miguel de Allende today.

What technologies do we use to build the archive? At the heart of our technical portfolio is an Allen & Heath digital mixer. Using microphones from manufacturers including Electro-Voice, Neumann, and Shure, and direct input devices from manufacturers including Countryman, Radial Engineering, and Rupert Neve , the audio signals are brought into the mixer where instruments and voices are recorded as individual tracks using the CQ MixPad software. Each performance is then archived both in our studio, locally, and in secure cloud storage, remotely. From time to time, we will select compositions from past performances to be mixed and mastered using hardware and software from manufacturers including Avid, Softube, Tannoy, and Universal Audio  . We encourage everyone residing in or visiting San Miguel de Allende to enjoy the music, and become a part of the San Miguel de Allende Music Archive Project community.
